Miso Robotics, a kitchen automation company, has partnered with fast-casual restaurant chain Chipotle Mexican Grill to introduce a customized robot dubbed “Chippy” to cook tortilla chips at the laters’ restaurants.
Chippy is currently being tested at Chipotle’s R&D hub in Irvine, California, with plans to deploy at one of its restaurants in Southern California later this year.
The robot uses existing tech from Miso Robotics’ products, including the robotic arm and frame. However, Chippy is developed to replicate Chipotle’s recipe, which includes the seasoning of chips.

However, this is the first time Miso Robotics introduced a custom-made robotic solution for a partner. In February, the company also announced the opening of a Series E funding round, partially to meet the rising demand for its robotic solutions.</ul>
