Patrick Brown steps down as Impossible Foods CEO; Ex-Chobani COO takes the position

Management news

  • Plant-based meat company Impossible Foods has announced that its founder Patrick Brown will be stepping down as CEO, and the position will be taken over by the former Chobani (dairy company) COO, Peter McGuinness, from 4 April 2022.

  • McGuinness, who led Chobani as the president and COO for eight years, had contributed in scaling its operations, building the brand, and expanding its plant-based dairy segment.

  • Brown will continue as the chief visionary officer (CVO) and director of the board at Impossible Foods, where he will be in charge of multiple areas including innovation, strategy, public advocacy, and the company mission. He noted that the transition will help him focus more on strategy and innovation.
