Future Meat Technologies raises USD 347 million in Series B funding

Funding

 • Future Meat Technologies, an Israel-based cultured meat startup, has raised USD 347 million in a Series B funding round led by ADM Ventures, the venture capital investment arm of multinational food processing company ADM. Investors Menora Mivtachim, S2G Ventures, Tyson Ventures, Manta Ray Ventures, Emerald Technology Ventures, ADM Capital, and Bits x Bites also joined the round. The round records the largest investment in cultured meat to date.

 • The funding will be used to construct a cell-cultured meat facility in the US, for which the company is currently scouting locations.

The company also announced that it can now produce its cultivated chicken breast for USD 7.70 per lb or USD 1.70 for a quarter-pound of chicken breast, down from USD 18 per lb six months ago. This reduction surpasses the 18-month timeline projection announced in May 2021 .
