M-Files, a content sharing platform, announced that it acquired the collaborative work platform Hubshare. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, and Hubshare will operate as an independent entity after the acquisition.
Hubshare provides a digital workspace that allows users to collaborate through secure file sharing and project management. As of April 2021, the platform had more than 25,00 clients. Hubshare’s capabilities will be integrated into M-Files’s enterprise content management platform, enabling the company to enhance the usability of its offering.
M-Files is an AI-powered content management tool that facilitates the tracking and management of documents and information. It offers a range of features, such as electronic signatures, document templates, automated workflows, and offline access. The platform is being used in more than 100 countries by enterprises including NBC Universal, OMV, SAS Institute, and ThyssenKrupp. It also supports a handful of integrations with tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Sharepoint, SAP, and MS Dynamics, among others. The company has offices in the US, the UK, Finland, Germany, Sweden, France, and Canada. M-File’s latest funding round came in January 2021, when it raised USD 80 million.
