MeaTech, an Israel-based cell-cultured meat startup, announced its first taste testing event for its hybrid cell-cultured chicken nuggets at its offices in Rehovot, Israel. Attendees included food industry investors Rami Levy Group, the Pozilov family, Eli Nidam, Stella Weinstein (Secretary-General of the Yamina party in Israel), and a representative of the Manufacturers’ Association of Food Industries in Israel.
MeaTech served a chicken nugget made from a combination of plant-based protein and cultured chicken fat biomass, which was developed at Peace of Meat, the company’s Belgium-based subsidiary. The event also included a tour around MeaTech’s R&D facilities, where guests could observe the company’s 3D printing technology.
