Figma, the cloud-based collaborative design platform, announced the launch of its largest product update to date. It introduced a new whiteboard tool called FigJam, voice chat, and a fully-fledged mobile app in beta.
FigJam is a whiteboard tool with a range of features, including sticky notes, emojis and drawing tools, pre-built lines and connectors, and cursor chats. With the launch, Figma aims to make FigJam the go-to product for design in the brainstorming phase. In addition, all Figma products will include voice chat, which means users no longer need to log in to Zoom or Google Meet while using Figma.
Figma is a cloud-based collaborative design platform that allows teams to work together on designs simultaneously to visualize projects and create new designs. The tool is suitable for individual designers, small firms, and enterprises. Figma launched in 2015 as a web-based version of photoshop, specifically designed to compete with the collaborative aspects of Adobe’s cloud-based design product, Adobe Creative Cloud.
