The Government of Denmark has formed a Plant Fund by investing over USD 100 million to promote climate-friendly and sustainable plant-based foods. The Plant Fund is an initiative of the Danish Agency for Agriculture to aid the growth of plant-based businesses and products as well as sales, exports, and education.
The record amount of DKK 675 million (~USD 100 million) has been agreed upon by the majority of the political parties in Denmark to be set aside for the Plant Fund until 2030, for plant-based food. The Plant Fund is a key project in the Danish Government's agriculture accord, which aims to embrace the plant-based economy's climate benefits and greater food security.
