CrowdStrike, a leading cybersecurity company, and Google’s cyber forensics and incident response subsidiary Mandiant have formed a strategic partnership to help joint customers with breach investigation and response and defense.
As part of the partnership, CrowdStrike's cloud-based Falcon threat intelligence platform will be integrated with Mandiant’s incident response (IR) and proactive cybersecurity consulting services. Later in 2022, Mandiant’s Managed Defense services will extend to facilitate support to CrowdStrike Falcon customers.

Analyst QuickTake : The partnership comes over a month after Google signed an agreement to acquire Mandiant for USD 5.4 billion , marking its second-largest acquisition following Motorola Mobility (USD 12.5 billion). Mandiant separated from the FireEye products business in June 2021 and the latter merged with McAfee Enterprise to form Trellix in September 2021. Google was also a key early investor of CrowdStrike having led its USD 100 million Series C funding round in July 2015.
