Simbe Robotics partners with Wakefern to pilot Tally robots

Partnerships

 • Simbe Robotics, developer of autonomous inventory robots named “Tally”, has partnered with supermarket Wakefern Food Corp, to pilot its autonomous inventory management and retail intelligence solution throughout its trading stores.

 • Hy-Vee expects to use Tally robots to help store operations and staff to further improve customer satisfaction.

Analyst QuickTake: Simbe’s Tally robots are used by several other retailers including Hy-Vee and Meijer. The company is also seen improving its technology, which was demonstrated by the patent it received last December to detect produce freshness. Simbe Robotics competes with peers who develop inventory scanning robots like Bossa Nova Robotics, as well as peers like Brain Corp , which initially developed cleaning robots and later integrated inventory scanning capabilities to offer enhanced solutions to customers.
