Heura, a Barcelona-based plant-based meat brand, has raised more than EUR 4 million within 12 hours of its crowdfunding campaign (approx. USD 4.3 million). This was the startup’s second ‘Equity for Good Rebels’ crowdfunding campaign launched via Crowdcube.
The funds are expected to be used to build Heura Lab 2.0, develop novel and innovative technologies, and improve its product development and distribution. Heura plans to design 10 new products in 2022.
The company also reported that its sales doubled in 2021, with its global points of sale (POS) growing by 333% during the period. Its products are available in over 20 countries as of date.
