Private equity firm KKR has announced the acquisition of enterprise cybersecurity provider Barracuda Networks for nearly USD 4 billion from its current private equity investor, Thoma Bravo, according to a report from Reuters.
<ul><li>The deal comes a little over four years after Thoma Bravo took the company private at a USD 1.6 billion deal. Barracuda reports that it has since grown to over USD 500 million in revenues and has made a series of acquisitions, including that of Skout Cybersecurity in July last year. </ul> <ul></li>The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year. The acquisition of Barracuda adds to KKR’s other investments in the space, including companies such as Darktrace. </ul>
