One More Game raises USD 22 million in Series A funding to develop debut title

Funding

  • Game developer ‘One More Game’ (OMG) has raised USD 22 million in a Series A funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from Griffin Gaming Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Animal Capital, Cleo Capital, and a group of individual investors.

  • The fresh funds will be allocated to the development of its first title Spellcraft.

  • Analyst QuickTake : OMG is looking to carve out a new competitive gaming genre. This approach is unique because many existing esports-centric developers in the space are chasing the next big multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), first-person shooter (FPS), or real-time strategy (RTS) hit, and understandably so—they feature higher up on the most-watched genres in esports.
