Zoom releases new whiteboard and gesture recognition features

Product updates

  • Zoom, a leading cloud-based platform that provides video, audio, and web conferencing solutions, has announced a set of updates and new features, which includes Zoom Whiteboard, a new visual collaboration tool, and gesture recognition.

  • Zoom Whiteboard is built into Zoom Meetings and Zoom Rooms for touch devices such as DTEN D7 and Neat Board, with plans to extend support for Zoom Chat soon. The tool can be used to collaborate during and after meetings, using connectors, sticky notes, comments, shapes, and images.

  • The gesture recognition feature enables users to send reactions during meetings using visual gestures. The feature currently supports “raise hand” and “thumbs up” reactions.
