AISTI raises EUR 1.6 million in funding

Funding

  • AISTI, a Finland-based startup developing carbon-negative wood-fiber-based acoustic tiles, has raised EUR 1.6 million (USD 1.72 million) in a funding round led by Maki.vc. A group of investors assembled by Valve Ventures also joined the round.

  • The new funds will be used toward product development and are also expected to support AISTI in the construction of a demo plant and pave the way for a larger investment for the construction of a full-scale production plant.

  • AISTI reports that its first customers include large architectural firms and that it has received positive feedback from developers and construction companies on its prototype tile.

  • Following the round, Pirkka Palomäki, partner at Maki.vc, and Eerik Paasikivi, partner at Valve Ventures, joined AISTI’s board of directors.
