BeZero Carbon, a British company providing organizations with carbon data, analytics, and project ratings, has partnered with Planet, a satellite data startup, to scale the former's geospatial analysis and research methodologies with Planet's satellite information.

This partnership provides BeZero Carbon access to Planet’s Forest Carbon Planetary Variable datasets, which contain commercial satellite imagery and forest metrics for the carbon credit projects listed on BeZero’s platform.

Thereby, the company’s carbon analysts and clients can assess forest change and carbon capture at an individual tree level to understand the impact of a carbon credit.

This is the first partnership of this scale between a carbon ratings agency and a satellite startup.
