 <p>UK quantum hardware company Infleqtion, in conjunction with aerospace companies BAE Systems and QinetiQ, have completed the first trial of quantum-based navigation systems in commercial flights. This technology is said to be immune to spoofing and jamming.</p>
 
 <p>These trials were sponsored by the UK Government and utilised QinetiQ’s modified aircraft, RJ100 Airborne Technology Demonstrator. The aircraft was fitted with Infleqtion’s optical atomic clock, “Tiqker,” and an ultra-cold-atom-based quantum system. These components formed part of a Quantum Inertial Navigation System (Q-INS).</p>

 <p>UK-based defense, aerospace, and security technologies provider BAE Systems has acquired Malloy Aeronautics, a company specializing in heavy-lift drones and aeronautical technologies. The specifics of the deal have not been disclosed.</p>
 <p>Malloy Aeronautics is known for designing and supplying all-electric uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) for both military and civilian activities. Their heavy-lift quadcopters can carry payloads ranging from 150 lbs to 660 lbs for short- to medium-range missions.</p>
 <p>Following the acquisition, BAE Systems plans to expand on Malloy's existing offerings and create new technologies relevant to UAS. This acquisition will enable BAE Systems to boost sustainable rapid response capabilities catering to military, security, and civilian necessities.</p>
