UK retailer Tesco has partnered with dairy suppliers Arla and Muller to launch the "Future Dairy Partnership," which aims to transform the sustainability of the dairy sector.
The partnership will involve all 400 of Tesco's Sustainable Dairy Group farmers and focuses on reducing on-farm emissions by 30% by 2030. Key initiatives include testing methane-reducing feed additives, implementing nature-friendly farming methods, and developing a sustainable dairy blueprint for farmers.
The collaboration will also produce an industry-wide report on sustainable dairy pathways, provide financial support for sustainability goals, and invite other organizations across the dairy industry to join the initiative.
