 <p>3D printing technology provider Formlabs has launched a new 3D printer, Form 4, designed for large-scale and rapid 3D printing projects. The printer uses a new print engine that employs low force display (LFD) technology, enabling parts to cure at quick speeds, amounting to 100 mm per hour. The build volume of the printer is 30% larger than its predecessors, permitting users to print several small parts at once.</p>
  
 <p>Formlabs also introduced a biocompatible variant, Form 4B, which uses stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing technology. The company asserts that Form 4B can produce most parts in less than two hours.</p>

 <p>Sintavia, a company offering on-demand additive manufacturing solutions, has disclosed its plan to invest USD 25 million for the expansion of its metal AM headquarters in Florida. This investment plan is scheduled for completion by the last quarter of 2024.&nbsp;</p>
 <p>The main motive behind this planned expansion is to accustom to the requirements from the US Department of Defense. The expansion plans entail an increase of 25,000 sq ft to the existing advanced manufacturing area. It will involve several new aditions, including large-format 3D printers, systems for large-format post-processing, and equipment for component testing.&nbsp;</p>
 <p>Alongside the physical expansion, Sintavia also intends to further concentrate on its research and development. The company will target the creation of high-performance thermodynamic components, with a spotlight on aerospace heat exchangers in particular.</p>

 <p>Materialise, a company offering 3D printing software and services, has recently expanded its additive manufacturing material portfolio. The new additions include polyamide 12S, polyamide 11 for HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF), and polyamide (PA-CF) for fused deposition modeling (FDM).</p>
 
 <p>The PA-CF material, composed of a thermoplastic filament boosted with 35% carbon fiber, will be ideally suited for the creation of heavier metal components. On the other hand, due to its resilience, adaptability, and reported biocompatibility, PA 11 is expected to find use in medical technology applications. Lastly, the implementation of PA 12S is anticipated in areas of volume prototyping and production.</p>
 
 <p>Furthermore, Materialise has entered into a collaboration with Renishaw, a manufacturing systems and software provider. The purpose of this alliance is to augment the productivity of Renishaw’s additive manufacturing machines.</p>
 
 <p>The collaboration will facilitate Materialise in incorporating its build processor with Renishaw's RenAM 500 series of metal additive manufacturing machines. In addition, Materialise plans to extend access to Renishaw’s users to Magics along with its data and build preparation software.</p>
