CEAD, a Dutch robotic additive manufacturing company, has launched Flexcube, a cube-shaped industrial large-format 3D printer at the Formnext 2024 expo in Germany.
The printer is designed as an all-in-one platform for industrial manufacturing with integrated milling capabilities. It features a three-plus-one axis system for 45-degree printing, a Siemens Sinumerik ONE CNC controller for precise printing, and a modular design that can be expanded up to 12 m. The machine requires 2.5 m in ceiling height, ships fully assembled in a single container, and supports continuous operation.
Based in the Netherlands, CEAD specializes in robotic 3D printing solutions. It offers technology components such as standalone extruders and printing beds for enterprises and individuals to build their own industrial large-format 3D printers. Its pellet extruders can be mounted on existing systems such as robots, gantry-based systems, and CNC equipment and include a base unit that controls temperature, extrusion speed, and automatic material transport. Additionally, the company's print bed can be used for any thermoplastic printing material.
