Snowflake, a cloud-based data and AI infrastructure company, has formed a multi-year strategic partnership with Anthropic, an AI model and chatbot developer, to integrate Claude's AI models into Snowflake's platform.

Through this partnership, Anthropic's Claude 3.5 models will be available within Snowflake Cortex AI on AWS, allowing enterprises to develop AI products and workflows with enhanced security and governance features. 

Snowflake will also use Claude as a key model for its agentic AI offerings, including Snowflake Intelligence and Cortex Analyst, enabling features like conversational assistants and large-scale language processing.

Analyst QuickTake: Snowflake has actively pursued partnerships over the recent past. Last month, it partnered with ServiceNow to enable zero-copy data integration for enterprise AI and with Cloudera to develop a unified hybrid data lakehouse platform.
