Marani Health, (formerly known as Odonata Health) is a remote patient monitoring platform that specializes in maternal care. The company’s flagship product is a wearable and washable garment that combines artificial intelligence (AI) and electrocardiogram technology to monitor an expectant mother throughout her pregnancy. Marani Health’s platform captures maternal and fetal biometric data including fetal heart rhythms to generate personalized insights using AI-powered technology that can be shared with both patients and clinicians. The device is yet to receive US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval.
The company was co-founded by Mayo Ventures, Mayo Clinic’s venture capital arm in 2018. In November 2021, Minneapolis-based Marani Health concluded an oversubscribed seed funding round of USD 7.6 million which will be used to accelerate the development and launch of its digital prenatal and postpartum care platform.
