It operates under the banking license of Solarisbank AG and finances only sustainable projects using customer deposits and interchange fees. Helios also partners with sustainable brands to offer discounts on their products. It is available to residents of France, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
Helios offers checking accounts with a Visa debit card through three types of accounts: an account aimed at the 18–23-years demographic, a regular current account, and a joint account, with monthly fees of EUR 3–6. Within the Eurozone, withdrawal fees of EUR 0.85 are charged after 2–5 free withdrawals, while a 1% commission and EUR 1.5 fee are charged outside the Eurozone. Card payments are also charged a 1% commission outside the Eurozone. The app also offers automatic categorization of expenses with plans to offer savings accounts.
