FIT awards undergraduate degrees in engineering, science, aeronautics, business, psychology, math, communications, education and humanities. FIT also offers master’s degrees in these fields and several others. Research is a central part of undergraduate and graduate study. Student life at FIT is teeming with activity. Residence halls, which are fitted with amenities, contain full-fledged apartments with kitchens and bathrooms. Among the activities to which students have access are more than 15 intercollegiate sports teams and a comprehensive art center, which exhibits artwork and hosts music concerts and student theatre performances. Undergraduate admission is based on one’s transcripts, standardized test scores and personal essay. Each graduate program has its own admission requirements. Tuition may be covered in part or in full through financial aid offerings such as Pell grants and federal loans, which are available to eligible students.
