Rosotics is a developer of 3D printers targeting aerospace and defense applications. The company uses Rapid Induction Live Interpass (RILI) printing technology, which liquefies metal feedstock instead of using a laser for printing. This technology reportedly uses less energy while enabling large-scale production.
In March 2023, Rosotics launched “Mantis,” a printer that uses a magnetic field in the 3D printer nozzle to heat the material to print aluminum or steel structures (ranging from 1.5 m to 8 m in diameter). In November 2023, the company announced that it had completed initial studies for the manufacturing of high-yield strength HY-class alloy steel structures targeting the maritime industry (to be commercialized by 2025).
Funding and financials
Rosotics raised USD 0.75 million in November 2022 to accelerate growth and expand operations.
