Founded by Dr. James Petrie and Dr. Ben Leita in 2019, Nourish Ingredients is a spin-off of the Australian government scientific research agency CSIRO, which focuses on food technology.
In April 2024, the company unveiled Creamilux, a low-inclusion lipid product that claims to provide emulsification properties that can replicate the mouth-coating sensation of full cream. Creamilux is being explored for use in various traditional dairy categories, such as cheese, cream, and butter, and offers enhancements to non-dairy products that typically rely on dairy lipids.
Key customers and partnerships
In September 2023, the company partnered with Boston Bioprocess to scale up its fermentation process. The partnership leveraged Boston Bioprecess’s scalable process for developing fat molecules to help Nourish Ingredients remain asset-light. Further, in July 2024, it collaborated with Fonterra to accelerate the development of dairy products containing Creamilux.
