E.ON (XETR: EOAN) is an innovative energy solutions provider and one of Europe’s largest operators of energy networks and energy infrastructure. It reported revenue of ~EUR 116 billion (USD 97.8 billion) in 2022. 

E.ON’s largest segment is Customer Solutions (~65% of total revenue in 2022), which includes supplying power and gas (both conventional and green) as well as heat. The segment also provides energy infrastructure solutions focused on decarbonizing and sustainable city solutions. Meanwhile, E.ON’s Energy Networks business consists of power and gas distribution and related activities. 

Germany is E.ON’s largest market, accounting for ~47% of revenues generated in 2022. As of 2022, E.ON held a 36% market share in the German power market and held a 19% share in the gas segment. The company also operates in the UK, the Netherlands, and Sweden, among other European nations. 

E.ON has stated that it plans to invest heavily in network expansion and an array of network projects over 2023–2027 to secure its position as a leading energy and infrastructure partner. It also aims to reach the net zero status by 2050.
