Jinka is a woman-led California-based plant-based seafood manufacturer producing vegan seafood alternatives. Its portfolio includes vegan tuna in 3 flavors (the original, spicy and lemon, and dill), plant-based calamari, and crab poppers. As of June 2021, the startup's products were available for purchase at 230 Whole Foods retail stores across the US and via its online website.
In January 2022, Jinka unveiled a one-of-a-kind pre-cooked plant-based calamari, a tempura-battered ring, offered as a perishable frozen product, mimicking the taste and texture of traditional calamari while providing protein and omega-3 fatty acids.
