Oshi (formerly Plantish) is an Israeli FoodTech company that develops plant-based seafood alternatives using a patent-pending additive manufacturing technology. In January 2022, Oshi unveiled the world’s first vegan whole-cut salmon fillet made from legume proteins and algae extracts. The plant-based salmon is claimed to be high in protein and Omega 3. The company’s plant-based salmon was to be offered at select pop-up locations in 2022 and enter the first five restaurants by December 2023, while the official launch was planned for 2024.
