Oshi to unveil updated plant-based salmon fillet at NRA Show in Chicago

Product updates

  • Oshi (formerly Plantish), an Israeli plant-based seafood company, is set to debut the newest version of its plant-based salmon fillet at the upcoming National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show in Chicago. The company has also secured US-wide distribution for this vegetarian salmon alternative through several restaurant supply companies.

  • The plant-based salmon fillet by Oshi uses a patented module layering technique, which emulates the fibrous structure of muscle tissue. This launch signifies a major step in the company’s US expansion, which began mid-2023.

  • Analyst QuickTake: After the company rebranded, it announced its US expansion plans in June 2023 and collaborated with chefs and restaurants to optimize its offerings. It launched its first products for the US market in October 2023 at the New York City-based vegan Italian restaurant Coletta.
