Entrol, based in Spain, is a manufacturer of flight simulators, including Flight and Navigation Procedures Trainers (FNPTs), Flight Training Devices (FTDs), and Advanced Aviation Training Devices (AATDs). These devices, certified by EASA and FAA, are developed in-house, with 20 different simulators in the company's portfolio (January 2024).
In May 2023, Entrol introduced its MR solution for mission training, which served as a visual system for all its devices. This solution, powered by a Varjo headset, offers a 360° field of view, enabling trainees to conduct operations such as search and rescue (SAR), helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS), and firefighting missions in a realistic environment. Additionally, the device has the ability to interconnect simulators, facilitating collaborative training among multiple pilots or crew members, irrespective of geographical locations.
In February 2022, Entrol launched SIMULSAR, a system that allows different crew members to train together in the same environment, enhancing their communication skills and emergency procedure practices. SIMULSAR can function as a standalone solution or as an upgrade to existing Entrol helicopter simulators.
