Tyto is a remote patient monitoring and telemedicine provider based in New York. It allows a healthcare provider to examine the patient's heart, lungs, throat, ears, skin, abdomen, and body temperature using a handheld, all in one remote monitoring device (with built-in guidance) provided to the patient as a part of the membership, allowing the provider to diagnose and treat many common conditions. Tyto can be accessed 24/7 and integrated with electronic health records systems and other telehealth platforms such as Teladoc.
In November 2022, the company launched a primary care offering called the “Home Smart Clinic”. The Home Smart Clinic offering includes 1) Tyto’s FDA-approved handheld remote physical examination device 2) AI-powered diagnostic support 3) user engagement services including consulting and marketing services and 4) support for various clinician business models. This new primary care offering works with both providers and health plans to provide patients with a suite of healthcare services. TytoCare has also launched “Home Health Delivery Metrics”, a tracking system to ensure providers are able to carry out their services effectively and ensure positive experiences for patients. In June 2024, TytoCare released an update for its Home Smart Clinic software. The upgraded Home Smart Clinic offered a fully integrated experience adaptable to different care modalities and service providers, the ability to share TytoCare exams with others through TytoShare, a new provision for pre-visit exams enhancing efficiency and convenience, and a multimedia avatar named "Emma" to improve user onboarding and engagement.
In March 2023, TytoCare received FDA 510(k) clearance for its wheeze detection algorithm, allowing the company to begin commercialization of the product as part of its Tyto Insights offering. The wheeze detection software utilizes Tyto’s stethoscope device to remotely capture and measure lung sounds and identify signs of wheezing in adult patients and children aged two and above.
In July 2024, TytoCare received FDA clearance for its product "Tyto Insights for Crackle Detection," a new AI-powered diagnostic tool. Tyto Insights for Crackle Detection was designed to help clinicians detect lung crackles during virtual clinic visits in adults and children over two years old. The AI algorithm analyzes lung acoustic signals, flags exams with potential abnormal sounds indicative of crackles, and alerts providers to their presence.

As of July 2024, TytoCare provided its services to over 220 healthcare institutions, had over 30,000 providers on its platform, covered over 900,000 patients, and worked with health plans across the US, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
In October 2024, TytoCare partnered with Frontier Health, a Texas-based direct primary care organization, to provide virtual primary care services. Through the partnership, Frontier Direct Care members were able to obtain the TytoCare's Home Smart Clinic device for no additional cost. By using the device, members could conduct virtual visits with their primary care providers, sharing vital signs and high-resolution images of various body parts during live video consultations.
In August 2024, the company partnered with The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) to expand virtual care technology in school health clinics. Through the partnership MUSC began deploying TytoCare's Pro Smart Clinic devices across 150 schools across the Charleston region. The devices would replace existing telehealth carts and allow more virtual care stations with expanded exam capabilities.
In May 2024, the company expanded its school health initiative as five new healthcare systems adopted its services. The initiative extended primary and urgent care services to over 2,500 schools in 31 US states. Through the partnerships, TytoCare planned to deliver its AI-facilitated Pro Smart Clinics to school clinics, offering remote access to primary, urgent, and specialized care. Health workers gained real-time patient data through the company's connected device, which analyzes various health metrics.
In November 2023, TytoCare also partnered with Idaho's St. Luke's Health System to provide its virtual care services to the healthcare provider’s members and employees in Idaho. Through the partnership, St. Luke members and staff would be given access to TytoCare's services, including on-demand virtual visits, with zero copays. Additionally, employees would have access to Tyto's Home Smart Clinic to conduct remote exams via Tyto’s connected devices, including its otoscope, tongue depressor, thermometer, and FDA-cleared smart stethoscope.
In February 2023, TytoCare partnered with non-profit regional healthcare provider Overlake Medical Center & Clinics, to enhance and expand Overlake’s virtual care services. Through this partnership, Overlake introduced TytoCare’s “TytoHome” device to its “Concierge Care” service to improve its clinician’s ability to diagnose and treat patients through virtual consultations while carrying out a range of physical tests through smart devices.
