Contigo Health, a subsidiary of Premier, Inc., specializes in direct-to-employer and direct-to-provider relationships, aimed at improving healthcare with cost-effective, transparent, and thoughtfully designed benefits. The company’s products include 1) ConfigureNet, a platform that aims to optimize healthcare benefits and manage costs, 2) ConfigureNet Price Advantage, a cost-containment solution featuring pre-negotiated contracts with US healthcare providers, 3) Centers of Excellence 360 Substance Use Disorder Program, a program designed to provide individuals with substance use disorders a dedicated care team to address their specific health needs, 4) Contigo Health Sync Health Plan TPA, a solution aimed at helping health systems optimize their health benefits plan through efficient health plan administration, and 5) Contigo Health Payvider Activation, an integrated platform designed to assist health systems in building and growing their payvider (payer-provider) product while minimizing risks​.

In September 2022, Contigo Health acquired key assets from TRPN Direct Pay, Inc. and Devon Health, Inc. for USD 177.5 million. The acquired assets included contracts with over 900,000 providers spread across 4.1 million US locations, consisting of acute care hospitals, surgery centers, physicians, and various other healthcare facilities and practitioners. TRPN’s proprietary cost containment technology was also part of the acquired assets. Post-acquisition, Contigo Health planned to use the newly acquired assets to create an out-of-network wrap product named Contigo Health ConfigureNet to enhance its current health plan administration products.

Key customers and partnerships

Contigo Health collaborates closely with healthcare providers and employers, creating a network that serves its members. As of January 2022, the company had over 3.8 million eligible members. 

In January 2022, Contigo Health partnered with OhioHealthy Plans. Through this collaboration, OhioHealthy integrated Contigo's third-party administrator business process operations to give its members access to cost-effective, superior healthcare services. Contigo also administered OhioHealthy's back-office claims operations and provided a care management platform for both companies' clinical staff to monitor and manage health-related matters. The agreement for third-party administrator work added 43,000 members to Contigo Health’s BPO platform.
