Illinois-based KeyCare Inc provides a virtual care platform that allows health systems to reroute patients to independent virtual care providers across different specialities. The platform operates on Epic, an EHR software system for healthcare providers, and allows patients to schedule virtual consultations via their own health system’s “MyChart portal”, another tool on Epic, or through their call center. The visit is also carried out on the Epic platform. Since its launch in July 2022, the firm has partnered with BHSH System’s Spectrum Health West Michigan Division.

The company operates using a B2B model where it provides its platform to healthcare providers with plans to launch D2C services beginning fall 2022.

The companies aimed to reduce wait times for patients with joint and tissue pain, improving access to diagnosis and treatment.
