Sysdig is an open-source platform that includes Falco, Sysdig OSS, and Prometheus—the open standards for runtime security, cloud and container forensics, and continuous compliance to secure containers, Kubernetes, and public cloud infrastructure (including AWS, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, and Microsoft Azure). The company’s cloud security policy management and container security software incorporate policy as code using Open Policy Agent (OPA). Sysdig Secure unifies run-time security, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security, continuous cloud security posture management (CSPM), Cloud Infrastructure Entitlements Management (CIEM), compliance, image scanning, network security, incident response, and forensics across containers, Kubernetes, and cloud. Sysdig Secure DevOps Platform provides security and compliance into the build, run, and respond stages of the container and Kubernetes lifecycle. Sysdig also provides a Secure DevOps platform for AWS, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Red Hat OpenShift.
Sysdig announced its intent to acquire the end-to-end cloud-native security platform Apolicy in July 2021 for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition expanded Sysdig’s container security offerings with the integration of Apolicy's IaC security that enforces policy as code, auto-remediation features, and risk-based prioritization to secure cloud and containers during production and pre-deployment.
