Lumus is an Israeli company specializing in the development of reflective waveguide technology for augmented reality (AR) eyewear. Founded in 2000, Lumus initially focused on creating transparent displays for military applications, such as helmets for fighter jet pilots. Lumus is working on the next generation of its technology, aiming to expand the field of view from 50 degrees to 80 degrees. The company's waveguide technology is designed to be compatible with various micro-display types, including OLED, microOLED, and digital light processing (DLP).

Lumus has established partnerships with several prominent companies in the technology and manufacturing sectors. The company collaborates with Mainz, Germany-based glassmaker Schott and Taiwanese firm Quanta Computer for production and manufacturing processes. Lumus has licensed production lines to Quanta Computer in Taiwan and SCHOTT in Malaysia to scale up manufacturing capabilities for mass production.
In the medical field, Lumus has partnered with Augmedics, an Israeli medical technology company, to develop the X-Vision system for guiding surgeons during procedures. Lumus has also worked with South Korean firm MediThinQ to create the Eyes Up Surgical Display, which integrates Lumus' AR displays into surgical equipment.

Nanosys is a leading innovator and supplier of quantum dot technology for advanced displays. Founded in 2001, the company develops and manufactures quantum dots - tiny semiconductor crystals that emit light when stimulated. Nanosys' quantum dots are used to enhance the color and brightness of LCD, LED, and OLED displays in products like televisions, monitors, and tablets. The company's flagship technology is its Quantum Dot Enhancement Film (QDEF), which contains red and green quantum dots that convert blue LED backlighting into pure white light, resulting in displays with more vibrant colors and higher brightness. As of 2021, Nanosys had shipped over 50 million units of quantum dot products. In addition to QDEF, Nanosys is developing next-generation technologies like electroluminescent quantum dots for NanoLED displays. In September 2023, Nanosys' quantum dot business was acquired by advanced materials manufacturer Shoei Chemical, though Nanosys continues to operate as a brand under Shoei.

Nanosys' quantum dot technology has been adopted by nine out of the top ten TV manufacturers globally. The company has partnered with 3 million and LMS Global to incorporate its quantum dots into display films. Nanosys announced that Hisense, TCL, Vizio and other major consumer electronics brands would be launching new display products using its xQDEF quantum dot technology. Nanosys has also collaborated with Bready Advanced Materials to produce air-stable, barrier-free quantum dot film components for displays.

Lumus, an Israel-based technology company, is known for the production of AR glasses using its patented reflective waveguide technology. The technology is made up of an ultra-thin lens embedded with multiple partially reflective mirrors and a miniature projector. In January 2023, the company created a series of smart glasses using reflective waveguides compatible with prescription lenses. The lenses came with a 2000x2000 resolution and were the second generation of its Z-Lens 2D waveguide technology, halving the size and weight of the technology.Lumus’ product portfolio also includes the OE Maximus marketed to consumers (launched in May 2021), which it further expanded in April 2022.
