Truebill is a personal finance startup that offers a tool to track and cancel unwanted subscriptions, along with a collection of tools for individuals to get a snapshot of their financial position, create budgets, automate their savings, and track spending. In addition, Truebill’s team also helps users to negotiate their bills without downgrading services, from vendors such as AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Cox, and Spectrum. Truebill earns 40% of the savings in the event of a successful negotiation. Between November 2020 and June 2021, the company grew revenue by 3.5x year-over-year. As of June 2021, the company had 2 million active users making more than 200 million monthly transactions.
In June 2021, Truebill raised USD 45 million in Series D funding at a valuation of USD 500 million, in a round led by Accel. The company expects to use the funding to grow its data science and machine learning teams, in a bid to build features that provide insights and financial prediction. The company also employed over 100 people as of June 2021.
