Optic Gaming (formerly Envy Gaming) is an esports organization that competes across popular esports titles such as Counter Strike, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Valorant and Rocket League. As of March 2021, the team had amassed USD 6.8 million in prize money, with earnings from Counter Strike accounting for 32% of its total. As of November 2019, the team is valued at USD 170 million with revenue of USD 8 million as per Forbes.
The company operates two franchise teams namely, Dallas Fuel (Overwatch League) and the Dallas Empire (Call of Duty League). In November 2021, as part of a brand merger with OpTic Gaming, Envy’s Call of Duty franchise Dallas Empire was rebranded as OpTic Texas for the 2022 Call of Duty League season, where both OpTic and Envy competed as a single team. In July 2020, the company announced its Valorant roster following the games release in June 2020. The company acquired eight-year operating rights for Esports Stadium Arlington in Texas for USD 2.35 million, in January 2022, making it one of the first esports brands in the world to operate a stadium in-house. In July 2022, OpTic Gaming acquired Botisimo, a streamer monetization tool, to venture into the streaming industry.

Funding and financials
In March 2021, the company announced Series C financing of USD 40 million, led by broadcasting company Gray Television. Gray Television invested USD 28.5 million in the round and appointed two directors to the company’s board.
