Founded in 2016 by Joel Hellermark, Sana Labs develops an adaptive learning platform that provides corporations with artificial intelligence-driven personalized learning, course creation, and analytics, for skilling, upskilling, and reskilling their workforce. Using adaptive assessments, learning, and reviews, Sana Labs identifies skill gaps, personalizes lessons, provides learning analytics, and recommends interventions. The platform also contains an authoring tool for companies to create their own courses. Sana serves the healthcare, financial services, life sciences, and technology industries.
Funding and financials
In May 2023, the company raised USD 28 million in an extended Series B funding round led by NEA, with a post-money valuation of USD 250 million. It planned to use the funds to further expand its product development and commercial teams across its offices in Stockholm, London, and New York. The round follows its USD 34 million in a Series B funding round led by Menlo Ventures in December 2022.
