EasyPark Group

Founded in Sweden, EasyPark Group provides a number of parking solutions across Europe and beyond. Its park and go app EasyPark has a number of features including 1) turn-by-turn navigation to parking spots, 2) the ability to book and manage parking and charging of electric vehicles, and 3) contactless payment via several payment methods including Apple and Google Pay. In February 2022, EasyPark enhahnced its Android app, allowing users to manage their parking and electric vehicle charging via in-car infotainment system, Android Auto.

EasyPark also provides a subscription-based model for businesses to monitor and manage parking services used by employees. The firm provides many features suited for businesses, including restricting parking to selected vehicles and selected operating hours, separating business-related from private rides, and consolidated invoicing.

In June 2021, EasyPark entered the parking management space with the launch of a ”parking data as a service” solution, providing predictions of parking behavior. The service was available in several cities in Europe and was expected to be rolled out in other parts of Europe and the rest of the world.

The firm acquired a number of parking apps and operators over the years. In June 2021, it acquired Park Now Group, a parking solutions joint venture by the BMW Group and Daimler Mobility AG, which includes a number of park and go app brands like Park Now, EasyPark (formerly ParkMobile), Park-line, and RinGo. With the acquisition, EasyPark also gained a foothold in the US and UK markets. In March 2023, the firm acquired MPLA, the largest mobile parking operator in the Czech Republic, to expand its mobile parking management services in Central Europe. In November 2023, the company announced its intention to acquire Flowbird Group, a global player in mobility solutions offering integrated parking and transportation services, to further expand its offerings.

Key customers and partnerships

As of May 2022, the EasyPark app was available in 25+ countries across 3,200 cities in the US, UK, and Europe. Apart from a mobile app, the firm’s solutions are also integrated into on-board vehicle infotainment systems including Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Android Auto, and Renault . With regard to its B2B offering, the firm has partnered with 70,000+ businesses since 2001.

In July 2022, the company entered into a global partnership with UnionPay International card network, to expand the number of payment cards supported by EasyPark’s smart parking app.

In May 2024, ParkMobile, a smart parking and mobility solutions in North America and part of EasyPark Group, partnered with the City of Caldwell, Idaho to digitalize the parking payment options for about 1,000 parking spaces throughout the city.
