Wearable Devices specializes in AI-powered touchless sensing wearables, operating in the XR space via the announcement of Mudra LINK (July 2024), a neural interface wristband compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled device. The device aims to offer intuitive control for users to navigate XR interfaces, using Surface Nerve Conductance (SNC) sensors to detect electrical signals from nerves and translate them into digital commands.
Other features include an Inertial Measurement Unit for accuracy and responsiveness and AI technology to precisely recognize complex hand and finger gestures, enabling touchless control over devices.
The company also developed the 1) Mudra Band, claimed to be the world’s first neural wristband, compatible with the Apple Watch and 2) the Mudra Dev Kit for monitoring hand and body activity, as well as the development of new applications. Additionally, Wearable Devices also markets its products to enterprises on a licensing basis.
Wearable Devices launched on the NASDAQ in September 2022. The company recorded a net loss of USD 7.8 million in FY2023, compared to a net loss of USD 6.5 million in FY2022.
