Based in Finland, Sulapac manufactures patented bioplastic straws and packaging solutions using wood- and plant-based binders. Sulapac’s products are fully biodegradable and can be digested by naturally occurring microorganisms. The company’s product portfolio includes Sulapac Universal (for common household items), Sulapac Premium (for luxury products), Sulapac Packaging (for food and cosmetic packaging), and Sulapac Straws. In May 2021, the company also launched its “Nordic Collection,” a biodegradable microplastic-free jar range that can be used for water-based products, primarily in the beauty and personal care industry. Sulapac products can be used in modern plastics manufacturing processes such as extrusion and injection molding, and therefore requires no special machinery.
