Sharecare is a preventive care platform that provides a range of personalized digital therapeutics programs to help members achieve their health goals through lifestyle changes. The company offers a wide range of digital therapeutic and health coaching programs covering mindfulness, tobacco cessation, weight loss, and chronic disease management. 

The app-based platform is available to track vitals, set goals, order medication, and store medical records that can be accessed by a user’s doctor. For healthcare providers, the platform offers value-based care programs, information management solutions, and payment integration. 

The company operates a B2B2C business model targeting employers, health insurance companies, life sciences companies, and healthcare providers. As of March 2023, the company has over 12 million members.

In August 2021, the company acquired CareLink, an on-demand digital home-based healthcare platform. The acquisition allowed Sharecare to enter the home care space, providing access to CareLinx’s network of 450,000 caregivers. This marked the 18th acquisition by the company since its inception in 2010. 

Sharecare began trading on the Nasdaq in July 2021, under the ticker symbol “SHCR” following a merger with special purpose acquisition company Falcon Capital Corporation. However, in June 2024 , the company was acquired by healthcare investment firm Altaris for a consideration of USD 518 million and transitioned to a privately owned entity.

For FY2023 , the company reported a revenue of USD 445.3 million, a 1% YoY increase. However net loss for the year increased by 8/3% YoY to USD 128.5 million.
