ChowNow provides white-label websites and mobile applications for local restaurants. The startup charges a monthly subscription for the services starting at USD 99 per month for its basic offering and does not charge a commission on orders. ChowNow also provides order insights to each of the restaurants with their own dashboard, as well as custom marketing campaigns to boost engagements and increase sales. ChowNow does not operate delivery services but assists restaurants with food delivery through DoorDash Drive, a white-label delivery service. ChowNow also lists restaurant partners on their online ordering platform available as a website and a mobile application.
In October 2021, the company launched its “Order Better Network”, a platform that claims to be an industry first; it connects restaurants to multiple channels for delivery and takeout. The feature aims to support restaurants in setting up digital storefronts across social platforms, with claims to help restaurants grow online revenue by up to 30%. Channels on the platform include Google, OpenTable, Yelp, Snapchat, Yahoo, Nextdoor, Rewards Network, and Tripadvisor.
In April 2024 , ChowNow completed the acquisition of Cuboh Software, a point-of-sale (POS) platform, which integrates food orders from multiple delivery platforms.

As of October 2021, ChowNow had more than 20,000 restaurants running on their websites and mobile apps. In October 2016, ChowNow partnered with Squarespace, a no-code development platform, to develop a series of website templates dedicated to restaurants with pre-loaded online ordering functions. In March 2022, the company partnered with Cartwheel, an on-demand delivery management platform, allowing its independent restaurants and small businesses access to Cartwheel's hybrid (self and third-party) delivery suite. In September 2023, ChowNow partnered with Boostly, a provider of a text marketing and feedback solution for restaurants, to enable integrated SMS marketing for restaurants.
