Privacera

Privacera provides a platform for automating discovery of sensitive data, centrally controlling access to that data, and automating compliance workflows across organizations such as data subject rights requests and data de-identification—which are required to comply with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. During 2020, the company expanded its customer base by 300% with annual recurring revenue growing by 250% during the same period. This growth was largely driven by the increasing levels of cloud migration by enterprises and increasing data privacy regulations.

In late June 2023, the firm launched Privacera AI governance (PAIG) , a data governance solution designed to secure large language models (LLMs) in enterprise environments. PAIG secures LLM training data, and monitors user queries, AI responses, and model activity, enforcing data access policies, and preventing exposure of sensitive data.

Funding and financials

In March 2021, Privacera raised USD 50 million in a Series B funding led by Insight Partners. The company expects to use the funds to expand its market share in North America and Europe while also looking at potential expansion opportunities in Latin America. Privacera is also considering inorganic growth options through acquisition.
