Switzerland-based Meteomatics is a weather intelligence company. The company combines its innovative in-house technology, including Meteodrones and high-resolution weather models, to provide real-time weather data for any location covering nearly 400 customers.
Meteomatics' EURO1k platform is stated to be the first and only weather model in Europe with a 1 km resolution. The platform is said to provide more granular data for numerical weather prediction (NWP). The company is also the first developer of autonomous weather drones, “Meteodrones,” which collect data up to an altitude of 6 kilometers. In May 2023, Meteomatics launched its first US meteodrone at North Dakota’s GrandSKY aviation park. The company operates as the first weather drone in the US.
