Germany-based Tomorrow offers sustainable digital banking services and personal finance management tools via its mobile app. It operates under the banking license of Solarisbank AG. Tomorrow solely focuses on financing sustainable projects using customer deposits. It uses interchange fees to protect trees and calculates the carbon footprint of every transaction made through its debit card. It also partners with sustainable brands to offer discounts on their products.

Tomorrow’s checking account and Visa debit card are offered through three types of accounts (Now, Change, and Zero) with monthly account fees of EUR 3–15. It also charges a withdrawal fee of EUR 2 per transaction on Now and Change account holders as well as EUR 20 for wooden debit cards. It also offers free personal finance management tools (Insights and Pockets) to track spending and savings.

As of December 2022, the company had over 120,000 customers.

Funding and financials

In October 2021, Tomorrow raised EUR 8 million (~USD 9 million) in equity crowdfunding. It also raised EUR 14 million (~USD 15.7 million) in September 2021 with the participation of the Hamburg Büll family office, Abacon Capital, and Torben Schreiter (founder, Signavio). The company planned to use the capital to expand its offerings (including the launch of a sustainable investment fund) and to grow its team to 200 employees.

In 2022, the company reported revenue of EUR 5.5 million (~USD 1.75 million; up 241% YoY) and a net loss of EUR 14.2 million (~USD 15.2 million).
