Extended Reality?

ARuVR is an XR training platform that helps enterprises and public sector organizations to offer either off-the-shelf or in-house developed immersive training programs to employees. The company claims to be the first end-to-end scalable turnkey XR solution, and the platform’s offering includes 1) XR Authoring System, a content creator for in-house teams to create interactive training experiences and business presentations, 2) XR Real-Time Sessions, on-demand training modules, and 3) XR Interactive Live Streaming. The platform is cross-compatible across mobiles, tablets, desktops, and VR headsets including Meta, Pico Interactive, and HTC Vive.

In October 2022, ARuVR was granted a patent (which includes 15 claims) by the UK Intellectual Property Office, which covers technology such as multi-user simultaneous AR/VR training. In December 2022, it became the first company to obtain approved supplier status on both the Crown G-Cloud 13, an online catalog where public sector customers can buy cloud-based computing services, and the UK government's Crown Commercial Service (CCS) digital outcomes and specialists framework. In April 2023, the company launched no-code tools for learning content creation on the VIVE XR Elite, Meta Quest Pro, and Pico 4 Enterprise headsets.

Key customers and partnerships

As of January 2024, ARuVR offered its solutions to over a million customers across ~4,000 global companies, with the company’s solutions used in the logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, and defense industries. Further, the company stated that it passed lifetime business users of 1 million, and delivered 500,000 hours of training to Fortunte 500 companies.

The company’s client base includes PwC, CocaCola, Amazon, American Express, and Canada Post. ARuVR is also the first XR company that serves the UK Government’s Crown Commercial Services (CCS). Its technologies are being leveraged to allow British public sector workers to streamline services.

The company partnered with UCL Hospital (May 2022) to provide immersive training for medical students, and it also has a strategic partnership with Virbela (April 2022), a metaverse company, to collaborate on product integration and marketing.

In June 2023, ARuVR signed a deal with digital learning solutions provider Mintra to provide Mintra customers with immersive training modules.

Fundings and financials

The company, in its latest funding round (March 2022), raised USD 3 million in a Series A funding round co-led by BGF and Symvan Capital. The proceeds were allocated to scale the range of products and services on its platform.
