Founded by 8200 veterans in 2018, Sternum provides cybersecurity for internet-of-things (IoT) devices through its two agentless platforms, Embedded Integrity Verification (EIV) and the Advanced Detection System (ADS). These solutions are used to provide real-time protection to IoT devices in the fields of medicine, industry 4.0, smart cities, and critical infrastructure (transportation, energy).
The company has partnered with public enterprises, such as Telit, and medical device manufacturers, such as Medtronic, to provide its endpoint security solutions for IoT devices.
Sternum’s patented technology was used in over 100,000 devices by several Fortune 500 organizations, as of September 2021; and it expected to register a growth of 300% by the end of 2022.
In September 2021, the company raised USD 27 million in a Series B funding round led by Spark Capital. The company expected to utilize the funds in R&D to advance its platform, and expand its headcount by threefold to 60, to ramp up its global go-to-market efforts.
