Otto (formerly TeleVet) is a web and mobile app solution provider that connects veterinary clinics with pet owners. Once set up through the Otto platform, pet owners can send virtual consultations to clinics for review. Veterinarians can include virtual follow-up appointments as a part of their service offerings. As of June 2020, the Otto platform was used by around 6,500 veterinarians in the US.
The platform is offered on a SaaS bais for USD 99 per month for annual contracts and USD 129 per month for monthly contracts.
Key customers and partnerships
In March 2022, the company partnered with Boehringer Ingelheim, a pharmaceutical company, to expand Otto’s services by becoming Boehringer Ingelheim’s preferred veterinary health technology platform in the US. As part of the partnership, Boehringer Ingelheim invested an undisclosed amount in Otto; the company intends to use the funds and utilize Boehringer Ingelheim’s commercial team for product development.
Funding and financials
In June 2020, the company raised USD 5 million in Series A funding led by Mercury Fund. The funds are expected to be used to accelerate the growth of the platform and the team.
