• Wagmo raised USD 8.9 million in an undisclosed funding round, bringing its total funds raised to USD 24.5 million. (August 22, 2023; Coverager)

• Companion Protect raised USD 27 million in a Series A funding round led by Avanta Ventures, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Old Republic International Corporation, and Stray Dog Enterprises. • TeleVet rebranded as “Otto” and secured USD 43 million in a Series A funding round led by Mercury Fund. The company also reported significant growth, adding 1,000+ new veterinary clinics in the past year and reducing appointment no-shows and call volume. (August 31, 2023; TechCrunch)

New product/service launch

• BetterVet unveiled a new brand look, website, and app to enhance the client experience. The updates included a fresh logo, an intuitive app for appointment scheduling, and access to pet care information. Geographic expansion

• Modern Animal is expanding its network of veterinary clinics to Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Houston, Denver, Phoenix, and Atlanta in the second half of 2024.
