Group14 Technologies raises USD 400 million in Series C funding

Funding

  • Group 14 Technologies, a next-gen battery material startup, raised USD 400 million in a Series C funding round led by Porsche AG. The round brings Group14’s total funding to USD 442 million.

  • The company expects to use the proceeds to deploy its second commercial-scale battery active materials (BAM) factory in Washington, US. Group14 also plans to deliver its lithium-silicon batteries to Porsche subsidiary Cellforce Group.

  • The round was also supported by OMERS Capital Markets, Decarbonization Partners, Riverstone Holdings LLC, Vsquared Ventures, Moore Strategic Ventures, and other large institutional investors.
